Pasteries to die for on Beacon Hill Jan 30, 2009
Wow! This is a GREAT pastry stop!
Not only is every piece a work of art, the symphony of flavors and smells will knock your socks off! This bakery is on Charles Street, Beacon Hill area so parking is a challenge (as is anywhere in Boston), but walking is a piece of cake (pun intended). Reasonably priced, I HAD to try their tiramisu... and it did not disappoint. I also enjoyed an excellently prepared espresso, which tasted authentically Italian, Napels-style. This would be a terrific place to show up on off-peak hours with a book just to hang out and read for a little while enjoying coffee and a dessert. Considering what other specialty shops are offered in the area and the cost of real estate, this delightful bakery is a value-oasis in the middle of a costly sea of businesses. Naturally, custom confections are also available for order here as well. |
