Cafe Royale Qawra Reviews
Wonderful cafe Jul 25, 2009
For holiday makers that arrive around lunchtime this is the perfect place to eat. There are a wide variety of sandwiches and salads on the menu, together with a wonderful selection of ice creams and cakes. The cakes are out of this world and the prices are very reasonable. The Cafe also offers a large selection of speciality coffees and teas together with a bar service. The perfect place to spend an afternoon or relaxing evening watching the world go by.
UPDATE - September 2011
We spent a couple of lunchtimes at the cafe this time, trying various items from the menu. On our first day we both had focaccias filled with salami, feta cheese and tomato. These were huge portions and came with a side salad and coleslaw, they were priced at around 4 euros about the same price back home but twice the size.
We also sampled a couple of the salads on offer during our stay, again the portions were huge and priced again at around 4-5 euros, would definitely recommend the feta cheese and tomato salad, and also the tuna salad. I also tried the egg and prawn salad which again was huge though I have to say that the prawns were surprisingly tasteless. All salads were served with a bread roll and butter.
We enjoyed a couple of drinks here on an evening also, ranging from coffees, liqueur coffees (which were more liqueur than coffee) and also indulged in some wonderful ice-creams. I would highly recommend the Bailey's ice cream which was floating on a shot of Bailey's liqueur, served in a very pretty cocktail glass with token umbrella :)
