Cafe Puerto Rico San Juan Reviews
Great place for local "criollo" food after walking around Old San Juan all afternoon May 11, 2010
After wandering around Old San Juan all afternoon and slithering through the many vendors of Plaza Colon, we happended across Cafe Puerto Rico. Although it's a small cozy place on the first floor, we ate upstairs where there was a little more space and we had a view of the Square.
My skirt steak was well seasoned and my friend had the mofongo (plantains are mashed and made into a bowl and the food is served in the bowl). The drinks were the most affordable we had had all weekend and were tasty! There are lots of places to go and you could wander into anything, but if you're looking for a recommendation, grab a map or ask people you pass in the street for Plaza Colon and find Cafe Puerto Rico for a nice local taste. When you're done eating, it's only a 4 minute walk to the bus terminal. |
