In the middle of beautiful Balboa Park, between the Zoo and Museums. Excellent, but normally pricey restaurant has a happy hour!

(from their website) 4 to 6 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, house well drinks, draft beer pints, house wine, house margaritas and passion fruit margaritas are all $3.50. The apps are Shrimp Stuffed Red Chilis ($4.95), Crispy Calamari ($5.95), Quesadilla ($5.95), Crispy Shoestring Potatoes ($3.50), Crispy Chicken Taquitos ($3.95), Shredded Beef Taquitos ($3.95) and Prado Hot Wings ($4.50)

All this under the stars in a nice courtyard with little lights in the trees and tigers roaring in the background. The restaurant is a common place for weddings and parties because of it's unique setting and history in the park.

Did I mention free live Jazz?

No excuse to miss this one!

It has an elegant, ski-lodge sort of ambiance with a menu that has a mix of what you would see on a Black Angus menu with some of the items havi...
DocTaotsu says: Actually the Dubuque's mess decks probably rate lower but since it's a warship... well it might very well be the last place you eat. But on to the grub.  Culinary Specialist Third Class Smith (Smithy to us deck monkey's) really turned this joint around about a year ago.  Between him ...
