Cafe Pap Reviews

The Coffee place in Kampala Jun 15, 2008
CAFE PAP, is one of the new changes in Kampala. Having been away from home for six years, I was amazed at how much has changed. Cafe pap is a terrace coffee place where one can have freshly brewed coffee, fresh fruit juices, Danishes, fast meals as well as sit down and check your mails - especially those 'Muzungus' who carry their lap tops with them. Muzungu is a local word which directly translates to (white people), not in a bad way – it is a very respectful thing in Uganda, lol!! Infact you can buy a T-shirt with the word Muzungu on it for just $15. You can visit cafepap online by going to www.cafepap.com

Uganda is a coffee producing country and there is no better place to taste real fresh Ugandan coffee. This is a popular coffee place where you will find both locals and tourists alike. Great ambiance with an outdoor terrace as well as a private indoor setting. At sunset, it is said the coffee tastes, better – I don’t know about that since my friends and I had coffee in the mid morning hours, lol!

COFFEE: socially, culturally and economically Ugandans have sat around the coffee table. Uganda grows Robusta coffee for both home consumption and exports. Cafepap, blends Uganda’s finest robusta coffee to make you expresso, lattes and traditional black coffee to ease your day. To build friendships and discuss business . In Uganda many use coffee as a uniting factor, for friendship, fire, love and medicine. You will see all this in play if you chance to stop by the Cafepap for a cup of tea, coffee, a glass of fruit juice or a snack.
"The powers of a man''s mind are directly proportioned to the quantity of coffee he drinks" - Sir James Mackintosh

"Coffee is the common man''s gold, and like gold, it brings to every person the feeling of luxury and nobility." - Sheik Abd-al-Kadir

FRUIT JUICES: Freshly made juices includes Pineapple, Lemonade, mango, orange, passion fruit, water melon (and don’t forget, these are fresh fruits: Uganda is the fruit basket of Africa).

MILK SHAKES: O, I must tell you about their milk shakes – incredibly filling and tasty. I had a vanilla milk shake that was so good, I can’t really describe it. If you are ever in Uganda, please find time to stop by Cafepap and have wither their coffee or milk shakes.

TEAS: CAFE PAP brings you some of the specialty and rarest teas of the world. Discover our traditional, fruity and herbal range. The best of traditional Ugandan tea made with spices and milk, hmmmm – tasty. Kevin was amazed at how good the tea tastes, each time we went out, we had tea and he immediately said ‘African tea’ pleas, lol! And so tea became the norm while I was down there.

Now, this might be the coffee place, but you will also be able to have a filling meal right here. You don’t have to stop for just coffee, they have something for everyone. Infact my friend Agnes ordered a salad which she said was absolutely delicious.
