Cafe Havana Makati City Reviews
Cheap drinks, expensive girls Aug 10, 2011
I have now been in Makati for a month and have started to get a feel for the city, good food, nightlife, spas, and everything a visitor wants to learn.
Havana was the first bar i went to, as a fresh college grad straight off the plane from the States. I was blown away at the moderate price of drinks, varying from $1-5 U.S (or PHP 40-200). Noticed quite a few expats and locals alike, danced to live music and drank with people at the bar as well as outside. The outside seating is fantastic, and greenbelt 3 (the mall it is located in) has a great open air center area. It covers up the noise and presence of the city very well.
The only warning i will make is that there is a very prevalent concentration of ladies looking for a drink and to make a few $$$. Would like to clarify that it is not a trashy place, but on your walk out there is a pretty good chance you will be heckled by what the locals call a "Pok Pok".
Outside of that, its a total blast and i recommend it as a great to place to go with buddies for a few beers/ cocktails before going out.
