Café Zoom Ho Chi Minh City Reviews
Excellent place to watch the streets Nov 19, 2009
Café Zoom is a tiny place that is decorated with anything that has a slight connection to the classic Vespa. Why the owners of Café Zoom choose for this theme is obvious when you reach the place. It has an excellent view of an intersection that is packed with scooters day and night.
This may not seem as anything special, but once you enter any city in Vietnam, you see that the Vietnamese have an unusual way of dressing before stepping onto a scooter. First of all, scooters are countless and all the exhaust fumes make it that most people wear a mouth cap in traffic. Then there are plenty of women who prefer to have skin as pale as possible, so they have entire constructions on their heads and body’s to make sure they don’t catch any sun.
Walking around in a Vietnamese city can feel as if you are trapped in a cartoon full of masked bandits, and if you feel like photographing or filming these oddly attired people, lunch or early dinner at Café Zoom is perfect.
Oh, the food (western, mainly Italian and some Vietnamese) is quite good, and for a very nice price!
