Café Charbon Paris Reviews
Jan 19, 2006
This bar and restaurant, in the trendy area of the 11th arrondisement,
is a funky place to spend a night like a young Parisian local.
The high ceilings and huge mirrors give a sense of space amongst the
tables, booths and cigarette smoke. The decor is casual with raw wooden
walls and eclectic ceiling lamps. The food is fairly priced -
for Paris - and both looks and tastes great. There are more traditional
options like beef tartare, or modern options such as salmon with lemon,
pinenuts and coconut rice. For dessert, there is a fantastic chocolate
option, the mi-cuit, or you can opt for typical cheesecake or tiramisu.
If you can't afford it, just come here for a drink at the bar. There
were quite a few English speakers when I was there, so I don't think
the waiters have any problems speaking English too.
