Café Bacchus Stavanger Reviews
Nice atmosphere and great service May 16, 2011
Café Bacchus is a lovely little café in an old wooden house in a small cobble stone street in the heart of Stavanger.
They serve sandwiches, toast, omelets, baguettes and salads as well as fish and seafood dishes. Prices range from $10-$20. I had the deep fried fish with tomato, cucumber, onion and salad served with tsatziki and soya sauce. It had quite a bit of garlic, but was very tasty.
Café Bacchus can also tempt with a variety of cakes and muffins. Being a café they offer a nice selection of tea and coffee drinks. Red and white wine and beer is also available.
There are five small tables outside in the cobblestone street, which is particularly nice in the afternoon when the sun is shining at the café. On a cooler day there are blankets on each chair if you still want to sit outside. The inside is decorated with cream coloured walls, dark furniture and wooden floor. The walls are covered with photos of famous film stars.
Café Bacchus is a very nice place to relax and enjoy a lovely lunch in a quiet side street. I have been there a couple of times and the staff is always nice, friendly and helpful. They are a great asset to the café and good contributor to the warm atmosphere. I will definitely return to Café Bacchus.
