Café Amici Charlotte Amalie Reviews
Caribbean Pizza and more in Charlotte Amalie Jun 26, 2007
Café Amici is located in the center of Charlotte Amalie in the A.H. Riise Mall. It’s an airy and attractive spot, with three open sides giving an outdoor feel. You look out on palm trees and old warehouses adaptively reused as a shopping arcade. The food focuses on pizza, but sandwiches, salads, and island dishes such as Jambalaya are available.
We all had pizza on our visit. Caribbean Chicken Pizza for me. Cheese Pizza for my daughter. Tandoori Chicken Pizza for my son. Mediterranean Pizza for my wife. The pizzas were all excellent. They are very thin crusted and with generous toppings. My Caribbean Chicken Pizza featured seasoned chicken (tangy but not too spicy), pineapple, and mango.
The restaurant was not crowded for lunch and seemed to have a mostly local clientele though it is located in the middle of one of the main tourist shopping districts. Friendly service. Casual, but not touristy.
Recommended. A real find I thought.
