Cadman Plaza Park Brooklyn Reviews
Relaxing Oct 30, 2011
Over the summer with my nephews and nieces visiting the City, I spent a lot of time in Brooklyn’s Cadman Plaza Park. Besides being a place to relax before and after walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, Cadman Plaza Park has a lot of history and plenty of open space to run and exert oneself.
The Brooklyn War Memorial that has been dedicated to Brooklynites who served in World War II is located in the Cadman Plaza Park. The Brooklyn War Memorial, however is currently being renovated. www.nycgovparks.org/parks/cadmanplazapark/highlights/11809
In addition, a monument dedicated to William Jay Gaynor, who served as Mayor of the City of New York, from 1910 to 1913, and a Brooklynite is also located in Cadman Plaza Park. www.nycgovparks.org/parks/cadmanplazapark/highlights/12525
So, if you need a place to enjoy an afternoon picnic or simply take a time-out while in Brooklyn, visit the Cadman Plaza Park.
