Cadiz Spain Feb 13, 2017
Cadiz is on a narrow peninsula,in southern Spain. It is 123 km from Savilla and at last count there were 14600 inhabitants. Its ancient name was Gadir was given by the Phoenicians 3000 years ago. In 1587 Sir Francis Drake the English Admiral sailed into Cadiz Bay. I arrived more modest by AVE fast train at Cadiz rail station. Staying at a small hostel i enjoyed Cadiz. It was sunny with a slight Atlantic breeze.--- There is a cathedral with a yellow dome, also cathedral museum, Market, i enjoyed a walk along the small promenade in a slight breeze. Narrow streets add to the charm of the place. In Cadiz i had a piping hot Pialla,delicious.--I left Cadiz by AVE fast train for Madrid on my return journey
