Welcome to Cactus Jacks Backpackers - Rotorua's only themed backpackers where our motto is "Mi Casa, Su Casa!"
Cactus Jacks Backpackers is centered around a fun-filled Tex-Mex theme, full of memorabilia - and the buildings are fully decked out as jail houses, saloons, and even a "red light district" belonging to a fictitious Madam Fifi!
There are dorms, single, twin and double rooms available and all rooms apart from the dorms have fully made-up beds for a comfortable siesta.

I arrived in Rotorua early evening on Sunday to empty streets which smelt strongly of sulphar. I was staying in Spa Lodge which was a nice little place, with extremely helpful staff, although the freak count was quite high amongst its few residence.…… All by myself, Don't want to be, All by myself (in Rotorua) |
