I went to this park and it was pretty awesome. This is a good day trip when your looking to relax and take in some views. The ocean is very cool in this area. You can climb down the cliffs and sea-life is abundant(crabs all over). The drive there is even cool. I reccomend this for anyone visting the San Diego area.

Cabrillo National Monument is a part of the US National Park Service. Cabrillo is located at the tip of Point Loma, the peninsula that can be seen northwest of downtown San Diego. The site is protected and there is an entry fee, but believe me, it's worth it! Your time on Point Loma can be spent visiting the amazing tide pools and water-formed caves, admiring the views of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean, exploring the Old Point Loma Lighthouse (built in 1855), trekking down the dirt trails, or at the visitor's center, which is full of materials and information relating to the area.
If you love fabulous views and history then this is the place for you! Part of the Good ole Southern Cali! travel blog |
