Great views Sep 01, 2011
Cabot Tower was built in the nineteenth century to honour the memory of John Cabot, who set sail from Bristol and founded land that was subsequently known as Canada. It's a little tucked away from the city centre but well worth the walk. The tower is impressive and there is a spiral staircase you go up in order to get to the top of the tower. Although the steps left me a little out of breath, it was well worth the effort. The views from the top are amazing. Great panoramas of the city. Apart from the tower, the surrounding garden area and water feature are great to look at and surround the tower nicely. All in all, well worth going to see when in Bristol.
