Cabinet War Rooms
Cabinet War Rooms Reviews
A Newfound Understanding of the First World War May 14, 2003
I had the greatest time when I went throught the Cabinet War Rooms to explore what Churchill and his men went through. It is an amazing journey to listen to the guide as it tells you the ins and outs of how this military leader and his fellow leaders were sheltered during the bombing. They lived, ate, and worked down there all while being under attach.
I definitely recommend you visit this marvelous museum. It tells so many stories. Part of the Living in London travel blog |

Attached to the war rooms is a Winston Churchill museum which is also very very good. Not far down the road, I stopped in at Westminster Abbey. Similarily to the War Rooms, I was able… All across London |

And I took a wander through Hyde Park & Kensington Gardens, where there were a disturbing number of people sunbathing (ok, it wasn't that warm - but I guess in England you've got to grab what you can). I also checked out the Cabinet War Rooms, which were very interesting. Well I'd better go out and enjoy tropical London.

Tourists were everywhere even though it was not really summer. So can't imagein what it must be like… Dazed in London |
