A Place You Can Call Home. Mar 29, 2015
Coco Princess, a yacht owned by Coco Grove Beach Resort brought us to the mystical, beautiful Siquijor Island.

Coco Grove, situated at Tubod, San Juan, Siquijor Island, is the best tropical resort I have ever been to so far. The resort is being surrounded by complete nature, from crystal blue sea with white soft, powdery sand, tropical gardens all over the place, spectacular marine life (thanks to Tubod Marine Sanctuary) to stunning sunsets each day.

The resort has the friendliest staff ever (they memorize customers' names, impressive!). They need to improve the food being served especially during their 'barbeque' night where you can witness cultural and fire dances.

Wifi connection is slow and its only located at a certain spot. There's no telephone on each room, so you have to personally make reservations (for food, massage services) at the reception areas. Rates at their spa center is kinda expensive.

Start your day with a morning run, enjoy the complimentary breakfast, snorkel, kayak, then end it by walking on the sea shores while waiting for a beautiful, stunning sunset. Call it a life. You can call it home...

I will come back, Siquijor!

Welcome by a musty smell! Jun 24, 2011
We stayed 4 nights in the Coco Lodge 3 close to the reception, the wifi area(when wifi works),one of the restaurant and complementary crowing roosters.

Because of a VERY MUSTY SMELL,we can't use the aircon during our stay.I wonder if the air-conditionning maintenance is done?but there is a fan and the temperature wasn't very hot:)

The TV was out of order for 2 days.No phone and no safe in the room,no wifi but a basic furniture and bed.

Hard and expensive booking:they don't take the credit card when you want to book but do when you check out!

Because of the bad weather with 2 rainy days, the snorkeling was very poor..

2 nice pools

We didn't complain about the food,a bit pricey but often tasty.

Smiling and friendly staff with good English

The Quiet Alternative to Boracay Sep 10, 2011
Coco Grove is a luxury of a resort hidden on the relaxing island of Siquijor, just an hour boat ride from Dumaguete where you can easily fly into for a weekend of relaxation.

Upon arriving in the hotel one is greeted by a very friendly and warm staff and the in residence parrot with a sign that recommends one doesn't get to close. However he did look friendly.

The resort is also a haven from all modern technology with only one area on the whole 7.5 hectares having wireless or phone service.

For things to do, one just need to check the map that is provided on check for the many opportunities from snorkeling in the sanctuary, pool in the lounge, kayaking, relaxing in the many hammocks, or perhaps catching a drink while floating in the pool.

All in all this resort is an up class relaxing experience minus the crowds.
