Not your typical sandwich chain Jul 13, 2011
I happened to walk past Cheba Hut while in FoCo recently. I decided to eat there based on a sign that claims the restaurant has the best sandwiches in Fort Collins, according to a local publication. After dining at Cheba Hut, I too believe they serve the best sandwich in the area.

What CH offers: A unique dining experience to say the least. Step in the door, and it is difficult to detect that this is a chain restaurant. Based on those I saw dining at Cheba Hut, it seems that CH is one of the top "local digs" among Colorado State University students. Both the decor and the menu scream support for the legalization of marijuana (ex: the sandwich sizes are "nugs", "pinners", & "blunts") This is definitely not a place for a family outing. Don't let that scare you away from trying one of Cheba's great sandwiches, however.

While the sandwich is prepared in a manner not unlike competing sandwich chains, the experience created there is reminiscent of a "mom & pop" delicatessen from decades ago. The staff is friendly, and they seem to enjoy working at CH. Sandwiches are created to your specifications, and you are called by name (not number) when your order is ready.

As for the food itself. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The finished product is superb. I highly recommend this establishment.
