Byblos (Jbail) Reviews
Oldest City with couple of good bars and restaurants. Jan 18, 2011
Jbail is one of the oldest cities in the world. It has been founded around 5000 BC. Lot of civilizations went through this city.
You can enjoy an amazing day in the fortress where there are a nice museum showing different artifacts from different eras. You can witness the first written alphabets in the world scripted on the sarcophagus of King Ahiram.
After spending some time in the fortress you can enjoy a nice walk through the old souk (city) and enjoy a nice beer or wine in couple of bars and restaurant. Evening Time lot of youngster will hang around the souk.
Ohh don’t forget to buy you one of the fossils as a souvenir.
