Hotel Sahinler, Koska Cad. no: 10 istanbul May 30, 2006
This is a very small but high hotel in Istanbul. It is not very expensive. The rooms are small, the elevator does not work very well. the room is not very clean. But if you stay there for one or two nights it is ok. The location is perfect. It is not far from the medina and not far from the blue mosque. you just sleep there and that's it.
We were there with a group and we had to give our pasport to check in. Later on we would like to have our pasport back, but they did not give it back untill we leave with the group. I did not agree with that. a pasport is a private document so it has to be with you all the time. Their excuse was, istanbul is not safe, your pasport is safe with us. Istanbul is as safe as Arnhem. You have to be cautious with it. Just as everywhere. Part of the Sunny Beach Bulgaria 2008 travel blog |
