Buxton is in Derbyshire England, known as the Gateway to the Peak District, it is a beautiful Spa town,with mineral waters discovered by the Romans, with many grand buildings.--Its Opera House an Edwardian building has a varied programme of events, including back stage tours,at moment 2017 the outside is under scaffolding.--- The Pavilion Gardens started in 1871 consist of 23 acres a lovely place to relax. ---- The Dome is the largest unsupported dome in Europe. The famous Crescent is under scaffolding.---- Pooles Caverns well worth a visit,with its illuminated stalagmites and stalactities.---- The town as good Shopping areas.--- The train station is at the end of the line from Manchester Piccadilly, years ago line used to go through to Matlock and Derby. Buses go to Sheffield, Chesterfield and Matlock , Derby etc.
