Buttercup Kitchen - Vallejo - TravBuddy

We were directed to this nice Denny's style diner/coffee shop while on vacation. It is a very small chain as far as I can tell. I have noted two other locations in Oakland and Walnut Creek. The meal we had was a Chinese Chicken Salad, suggested by an extremely nice waitress who went out of her way to serve us and answer questions regarding motels and hotels in the area. The meal was excellent, fresh and large. The restaurant was clean, comfortable and had a full family type menu. It was quiet late afternoon when we were there and we chatted with a couple in the next booth, also travelers, and the waitress about the area for some time. A nice, enjoyable place, good food, and fair price. I have also eaten at their location in Oakland, near Jack London Square and enjoyed be breakfast and service there.
