Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston Reviews
Huge and spacious May 10, 2010
After having spent the morning in Atlanta we finally landed in Bush Intercontinental Airport and we landed in terminal where we were the only plane; most of the other passengers had Houston as their final destination while we had to find the connection towards Managua.
The Bush Intercontinental Airport was huge, really huge and there were not that many people or activity given the fact that the airport was so large. Where ever we were or went the airport gave an impression of being quite empty. There were loads of space and the distances were enormous.
We had to take a bus ride from where we landed to the connections at the other 4 terminals. After the bus ride we walked through an area with some Texas souvenir shops and from there, we had now to take the shuttle train to the D terminal, even though we were headed for the E one.
It turned out that we had to walk between D and E; which didn’t matter; we had a couple of hours to kill. When we finally arrived we started to explore the terminal walking from one end to the other. I was taken by number of vendor machines where you could buy everything from a blackberry to mascara.
There were a huge variety of fast food vendors but most of it looked greasy even though they had quite fancy names. We settled for some fruit and some water. We saw an Oyster bar which we didn’t visit because it was too early to party; otherwise oysters and white wine is fantastic.
The airport gave a good impression, mainly through it size. It looked nice and the airport had a large number of different vendors.
