If you're planning on traveling in Chile using the buses are a great way to see the country. In my many bus rides I have always left on time and arrived on time. Also, the buses have always been super comfortable. For overnight rides many companies offer semi-cama beds for a higher price ($16 USD for non-feria weekends, and $40 USD for feria-weekends). I would recommend using Tur-Bus as it is the biggest company and therefore has the most options; however, I have also ridden Pullman, J & M, and Bío-Bío and all those trips were excellent.
