Bus to Bathsheba Feb 12, 2009
I visited Bathsheba during my visit to Barbados in February 2009.

Bathsheba is one of the stops on the many day tours around the island but they stop at a well-prepared tourist area with manicured lawns and souvenir sellers.

Why not take one of the blue Government buses (with yellow stripe) instead?

The Government buses run to Bathsheba from either Bridgetown (Fairchild Street Bus Terminal) or Speightstown.

Return buses leave Bathsheba for Bridgetown on the hour, every hour; returning to Speightstown the buses depart on the hour every two hours on the even hour.

The Government buses run on a flat fare basis of BS$1.50 per single journey (accurate at February 2009) regardless of how far you have to travel. Taking the bus from the south coast of Barbados (e.g. St Lawrence Gap, Dover, Oistin) to Bathsheba will require two single journeys and, therefore, cost BS$3.00. The Government buses take exact change only, so be sure to keep your change for the bus!
