Bus from Kingston Airport to city centre Feb 13, 2017
Once you arrive at Kingston Airport, you will be hassled by a lot of taxi drivers in port wine coloured uniforms looking for your business. A ride to most destinations in Kingston however is 35US$. If you are travelling heavily or are in a group, this might be an attractive offer.

However, for more cost-conscious travellers, there is a far better option: Bus 98 runs during daytime around every thirty minutes to the "Parade" which is one of two main bus hubs in Kingston. From there, it is easy to get another bus, taxi or route taxi to your next destination. The price is only 100 JMD (less than 1 US$) per person. Be aware however that the "Parade" is safe during daylight but should be avoided during the hours of darkness. For more information on how to move around in Kingston, please see my tip about buses in Kingston.

The bus stop at Kingston Airport is not well marked. There is a bus stop wih a low, red roof in front of the airport authorities building. You will see it soon when you leave the airport on the left hand side and walk along the car rental offices and the taxi stand. That stop is for the buses to Port Royal. Buses to the "Parade" (marked with the sign "Downtown") stop very close to it in the road coming from the right hand side.
