A walk along the river...

   One more park to go to before heading home...whew what a glorious morning.  We got to Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park and it was starting to warm up...making me very happy, love that sun and warm.  It is a really cool little place to go for a walk.  There were kids playing everywhere, men fishing and chatting, bikers riding, people and dogs walking...busy...busy...and all in and close to Vancouver...a place to escape and dream.They call this park Burnaby's best and m...

Scared of Bears.

We decided to take a walk up Burnaby mountain, we had only gone a few metres when we came across this sign. I would have liked to have gone back, cos I know we are not bear aware. However we carry onwards and upwards, on this little track through the trees. My heart was beating so fast, and I was scared by every little bird rustling in the bushes. I can't tell you how pleased I was when we got to the top, and I could hear human voices. hello all,it still hasn't hit me that im flying off to Brazil on Monday morning....  a couple of things have snuck their way into my life that has distracted me somewhat from fully embracing this experience.  let me explain...i'm sick.  yes, i've been battling a dry mouth for the past week and a half but earlier this week, i was hit with a killer sore throat, followed by coughing, and overall "ickiness".  the lack of sleep and running around because of school work hasn't h...

After the fabulous IMAX show, my friend and I were feeling adventurous. So, we walked back to Waterfront station and hopped on the SkyTrain. We decided to stay on it until we felt like getting off. So, we ended up getting off in Burnaby. We took a scenic walk through the woody park, walked around Swangard Stadium, and, the children that we are, played at the playground.
