Burano Island Venice Reviews
Beautifull and unique small island Dec 07, 2011
We arrived early in the morning when there was no tourists or anybody else. It was nice and quiet, empty streets with few cats...
We started wandering around through the streets, along the canals, over the city square, and it was unique experience.
It looks similar to Venice, but it has it's own charm and it's not so old and eroded like Venice.
Every building looks restored and all houses are painted in different color which is really fabulous, looks like some imaginary city.
Canals are like roads between the houses, with many small bridges crossing the canals.
There are no cars on Burano, for obvious reasons.
Cafes and restaurants are not expensive, prices are even lower than in Venice.
There are many shops where you can buy many authentic souvenirs.
Liked the place very much and I suggest anyone who is going to Venice to spend one morning in Burano. It was one of my favorite trips...
