Salzburg, Hallstatt & Vienna Austria (and a bit of Germany) July, 2006

Mondsee is a pretty small town, very picturesque, and is where they filmed the wedding scene of the Sound of Music. The church is supposed to be at Nonnberg, but I think it was too small and they couldn't get all the lights and cameras, etc, in the right places. The Basilica in Mondsee is beautiful, a lovely yellow colour and the inside is so impressive. We had got married the day before and had many happy memories of the day. Today we spent the last day before our honeymoon with the remaining guests, taking them to nearby places and spending some time with them before their departure back home.  We were glad to have spent time with our guests both pre and post wedding and we mde every effort to make sure that they enjoyed their time in Austria and with us.However it was nice to finally be by ourselves and to look forward to our honeymoo...
