  Hallo allemaal,Daar ben ik weer... Nu in Bundaberg.De stad van de Australische rum. We zijn net 2 dagen terug van Fraser Island, was geweldig en een heerlijk ervaring. Een eiland bestaand alleen maar uit zand en waarvan de highway, de vliegbaan en de surfstrand één en al dezelfde strand is! Mijn voeten gescrubt met het 90% silica zand bij Lake Mc Kenzie waardoor mijn voeten er weer stralend uitzien (alsof ik een pedicure heb gehad.)Ze kunnen weer een paar kilometers af...

Bundaberg is probably most famous for manufacturing Bundaberg Rum. Whilst we’re sure it’s lovely stuff; we visited Bundaberg, because we wanted to see turtles. Whilst we were happy to see them swimming in the sea, we really wanted to see some hatching out and making their way down to the sea. The best place to see turtles hatching and laying is Mon Repos turtle rookery, just 15km away from Bundaberg . Don't exactly travel overseas alot, actually never (unless you count my move to Aussie from N.Z?). Moved to Australia from N.Z in 2005 and have lived here ever since! Great weather, people, lifestyle. Have to put up with the occasional sheep joke, but I have learnt how to give back just as good! :) I have posted some photos in this blog of some favourite spots in New Zealand (South Island)

A one night, one day stop in Bundaberg, you definately don't need any longer! Visited the Rum distillary which was quite interesting and then redeemed our vouchers for free drinks in the on site bar. Dissapointed to discover that whatever form I had it in I am not a rum fan, turning down free drinks! What will become of me! Apart from that, not a lot to see, pretty dead for a saturday!
