A really homely place service nice food Dec 05, 2011
The Bulls Head in Clandon is a really homely pub with a lot of character. It does lack any finesse and is fairly basic. The layout is slightly quirky and it is a shade on the small side which adds to its charm. The food is very nice with a printed menu and Specials board. They specialise in home made pies and the "Clandon" Pie is truly wonderful. The portions are generous, the food hot and tasty and the prices are very reasonable. For beer drinkers there are a couple of real cask ales.It does tend to attract mainly couples over the 35 age group and is a good place to have a meal and drink in a relaxed atmosphere. It generally is fairly sedate and it is most unusual to see children here. We notice not many customers were in the jeans and T shirt mode but more in smart casual dress. We have been here a number of times and will continue to return.
