Bulldog Hostel & Coffee Shop

My friends and I stayed here in March of 2005. Parking outside can be tricky, but most of you will probably come here by plane or train anyhow. We hadn't made reservations but ended up getting a nice room for the four of us. The room was actually too big. We had one queen sized bed and two bunk beds, so there was plenty of room to sleep. The bathroom was very clean with a nice tub. The chess board tiles on the wall made me a little dizzy but then again, I guess it was suppose to have that effect since this was Amsterdam! ;)
The room itself had a couple of windows with a nice view of the canals and the red light district across the street. Don't be scared off by that. The females are not running around on the street. They have nice showcases inside the buildings. ;) It didn't bother me, that's what I mean to say by that. lol
But back to the room. The walls were painted in multiple colors. I really liked it. When you go to the website you'll see that the rooms have different themes.
Since we stayed here in the winter and it was snowing outside I should probably also mention that the heater was working perfectly. No one had to be cold.
I recommend this place for fun loving groups that just like to have a place to sleep and hang out in this beautiful, interesting city.

bulldog is cool... great spacecakes... but id suggest you try kashmire lounge... the best place.. good weed. good atmosphere... top music....

the most amazing place to stay ever!!! soo much fun, very nice, amazing people, nonstop party 24 - 7 right in the middle of the red light district!
