Buli Cafe Dallas Reviews
Nice cafe with local art work to look at, and cute tinbox lunchboxes, and great food! Jul 30, 2011
My boyfriend and I were watching the news one day, and saw a segment that gave reviews of places in our Dallas. Buli Cafe came up. The reporters had us convinced, thus we went to Buli this morning in the uptown area of Dallas to try it out.
When you walk inside the cafe, you'll notice the various pieces of art. They display local artist's work every month. It's a joy to look at while you eat, or wait for your meal to be delivered. The restaurant has a very artsy atmosphere, and the staff is really nice too.
Since I have a sweet tooth, I ordered a red-velvet "Mondo Cake." It's a HUGE slice of cake, I couldn't finish it! Which is sad, because it was a taste of heaven- I recommend it. The white chocolate mocha was perfect! I know it's summer, but I'm used to having hot breakfasts. :)
My boyfriend ordered the "Chicken Bacon Ranch on Panini Bread" sandwich with an ice cold drink, "Naughty Toddie." The Naughty Toddie is a super charged iced coffee, with a flavor similar to espresso. It tastes great with cream and caramel syrup, or sugar if you prefer.
This is what my boyfriend has to say about his meal:
The panini bread was lightly toasted, just enough to give a crunch but still remained soft right to give the sandwich body. The chicken was sliced and combined with chopped bacon coasted lightly with ranch. It says on a bed of baby spinach which didn't overpower the chicken. It allowed it to shine through. Buli pairs their sandwiches which vegetable chips and an apple which make for a great meal all under 9 dollars. I didn't mention the best part, all of this is served inside a nostalgic lunch box which in my opinion makes the experience even better.
Next time we go there, and there will be a next time, I'll be sure to order a sandwich. I regretted nor ordering a sandwich when I saw his meal. We both definitely recommend going to Buli Cafe. :)
