Bukidnon Vacation Guide
Bukidnon is a province in the south of the Philippines, located in the Northern Mindanao region. The capital of Bukidnon is Malaybalay. Because of the higher altitude (most of the province is over 500m above sea level) and excellent soil composition, its main industry is agriculture with rice, corn, and pineapples being grown here. There are several plantations located on the plateaus of Bukidnon. The weather is much cooler because of the higher altitude. There is no definied rainy season unlike other parts of the Philippines however it is typically more dry from November to early May.
The easiest way to get to Bukidnon by air is from Cagayan de Oro. The drive is a little over an hour, longer if you take public transportation. From the south, the drive from Davao can take upwards of 6 hours. The roads are very bumpy as they are rarely renovated.

We flew from Manila to Cagayan de Oro to visit the Del Monte Plantation and Cannery. How amazing it is to be surrounded by the greatest pineapples you've ever tasted.
