Buenos Aires Tallinn Reviews
Jul 01, 2007
Tallinn has lots of different types of food to offer a traveller/tourist; everything from typical Estonian restaurants to Mexican and American restaurants can be found. The old town hold lots of small restaurants, one more cozy than the other.
This time we decided to try a pretty new restaurant for a change, opened in April this year, the interior is really new and modern, but still a bbit traditional in the way that they've used much wood in the decoration.
The service was good, all though they were really quick on taking away finished dishes and emptying bottles into glasses - everyone can think what they want about that, for me it was a bit weird though... But otherwise the service was friendly and happy - the waitor we got did speak some English, but Finnish was good to know, as some words didn't belong to his dictionary - but nothing you can't overcome! :)
The food - was really good! :P We were optimistic and ordered both a starter and a main course (all though all I wanted to do was jum to the dessert!) which in the end was a bit too much... The starters were HUGE and we could easily have survived only on them, but the main course was worth the tasting. In the end we were too stuffed to even try the desserts! Great food and absolutely great bread! :)
The prices weren't as cheap as in some restaurants you can find in Tallinn, for a starter, main course and drinks we paid about 25 €.
Well worth a visit just because the interior was so unique and pretty, anf the starters were fabulous! Try it if you're around! ;)
