Buena Vista Mancora Reviews
Relax in front of the beach @ Buena Vista Apr 03, 2009
This hotel is located just in the heart of Mancora. Their location is just great, with direct access to the beach and close but not that much to the town, so you can reach the stores and market easily but won't be disturbed by the noise.
The owner is a Scottish guy who is really fun and you'd meet him more than once while you are staying here. He's such a kind guy that will make you feel welcome.
The style of this place is not a bungalows one, but works. Although the garden could look nicer. Among their amenities I have to mention the jacuzzi and pool, which you can use 24hrs.
You have direct access to the beach and they will lend you chairs for your comfort there.
Rooms have dvd, tv, radio and some of them a kitchenette full equipped with a fridge too. There's wi-fi, but if you don't have a laptop with you, you can lend the pc's at the frontdesk, at least I did so :P
Bed is comfy and bathroom is big. Shower's pressure is great! You have hot and cold water 24hrs. The hammocks at the entrance of every room are great to relax and enjoy the sunset.
The owner got this property just 7 months ago, so the restaurant is not working yet, but will do it soon. Nevermind, having your kitchenette you can buy groceries and cook for yourself :)
Regarding the prices, if you go there during low - season and the owner is there, you can bargain a good deal, haha. Of course, the longer you stay, the better deal you'd get.

A great place to stay in Mancora Jul 11, 2009
If you go to mancora for more then a week, this is a place you could consider to stay in.
The place is in front a beach called Mancora, In the north of Lima, Peru.
If you want to safe money cooking by yourself over there (It is good to go out for dinner, but all the nights and lunchs... well it is up of how many days are you consider to stay in mancora)
In my case I stayed more then 2 weeks, if it is your case you might ask the room with kitchenet. It is full equipment.
I loved the huge pool in the resort. It is great being under the sun at the beach, but hey you start to miss the almost sweet water ;)
It is located very close to the town, that allows you to go walking to the little marked, restaurants or resort. You are not a car depended.
Part of the beach get full at the weekend, but the place in front the resort kind of exclusive, that allows you to choose any place you want. If you are lucky you will see surfs competitions... in all categories...
And if you dont surf, you can get classes and start surfing :)
