Budva Vacation Guide
Budva is a summer get away town on the coast of Montenegro. Very touristy but mainly with travelers coming from Serbia, Russia and Germany. The peak season for Budva is from May to October with the winter months being very quiet with hardly anyone around.
In the summer there is so much you can do. Walk along the beach and tons of activities and excursions will just jump out at you. You can choose from one of the many or you can spend your day lying around the beach.
The old town of Budva is really picturesque and therefore the city is often called -little Dubrovnik-. In the center of the old town you will find the main church, which can be spotted from far away, as well as the old Citadel. Destroyed by an earthquake in 1979, the old town was reconstructed stone by stone in its original Venetian style.
Budva is easy to get to from other cities in Montenegro such as Herceg-Nova, Tivat, Petrovac and Podgorica.

We left the hotel at 9:30 for a drive along the Southern Montenegro coast to view Sveti Stefan Island from above. Albania is only a short distance down the road from here. Abandoned or war-ruined villas in various states of reconstruction dot the shoreline. Returning north to B…
