Buddy lodge Hotel

Buddy Lodge is perfectly located on the Khao San Road, the world famous and well-known backpackers area of Bangkok .

From the hotel, you are situated within a short walking distance to the major points of tourist attractions such as Grand Palace, etc. Just jump into one of the friendly tuk tuk's but don't forget to have a good haggle. Please do let them take you to the tailors, etc. It's how they get fuel vouchers to drive you around. You don't have to buy anything but it's easier to go along with it otherwise you may seem rude.

Buddy Lodge offers good rooms with oriental wooden decor furnishing. The beds are really great (I stayed in twin rooms) and it's a good place to chill out after a long haul flight. Rooms have great facilities including Satellite TV (CNN and couple of English speaking channels, Mini bar, Key card access , free safe deposit box, Hair dryer, private shower room with hot/cold water.

I have stayed here twice as have friends I have recommended this hotel to. To date everyone has been really pleased and I can't speak highly enough of the whole hotel. The only thing I can't comment on is the food. I love eating from the street vendors on the Ko San Rd so a tub of Pad Thai for 20p kept me going for a snack and you aren't short of choice in the area either.

On the roof of the hotel is a really nice pool and for a real treat you could have a traditional thai massage thought it'll set you back about £35 rather than £3.50! Though the setting is great and compared to UK prices it's still a bargin.
