Buddha View Dive Resort - Reviews - Koh Tao

Buddha View is a dive resort, but it's of course possible to stay there even if you're not diving. But if you are on Koh Tao to take a dive class, you will get a lower rate if you live and dive at the same resort.

The rooms at Buddha View are located around the pool - wich is mainly used for diving exercises - and the dive shop.

The rooms are clean and fresh, and you can choose aircon or fan, wich is cheaper. The staff is really nice, and speaks mostly good english.

There's a restaurant that serves all meals. This is very convenient if you're diving early in the morning! Food might not be the very best, but it's perfect for breakfast and lunch or a snack after diving. Then you could go elsewhere for dinner.

There's also a bar down at the beach, and it's nice to sit there for a drink in the evening. Other resorts, bars and restaurants are lined up along the beach, so you wont have to go far if you want a change either.

What I really love about Buddha View, is that the toilets are real flush-toilets. Most of the cheaper places on Koh Tao has those where you need to flush with a bucket, and after doing that for a while, a "real" toilet is luxury! There's hot water in the showers, a nice balcony, and the rooms are spacy.

It's not the very chepast option on this island, but it's still in the very affordable end: a double-room like described above from 450 Bath.

There are also a lot cheaper opinions with shared bathrooms a little bit away from the beach, and the more high-class cottages on the beach cost about 6000 Bath. So there should be something for every budget!

It should be mentioned, that if you go to Koh Tao for diving, Buddha View has really good, international instructors and divemasters, some of the better equipment and two really nice dive boats. prices for diving are mostly the same everywhere, and Buddha View gives you good value for your money!
