Trendy new spot in DC with a nice international crowd, you MUST go here! Jul 17, 2010
Wow, as of the date of this review, it's only been only for 2 months. It is sooooo pretty when you walk inside.

It is on the front of a new building right on Massahcusetts Ave (between 4th and 5th streets). I walked from the metro (a good 6 or 7 blocks) and it doesn't look like there's much over there...but you walk in and it's nice and dark and red and Asian themed and so chique (that's not spelled right, is it?)

Some people complain about the prices, but for the sushi, it isn't sooo bad. You can buy rolls in 4 pieces or 8 and that allows you to mix and match really good. I got 12 pieces and spent $15, but it was so good. A drink could be $10/$11 and happy hour is only Monday-Thursday. It gets crowded by 6/630, so if you plan to retain a seat at the bar, get there before then.

Jose is a cool bartender, I like him lots. If you plan to sit and eat, reservations are STRONGLY recommended! There is a sign at the door requesting proper attire, so be sure to be one of the beautiful people wandering around Buddha Bar and enjoy yourself.
