after barcelona and malta i was beached out, i could literally see a freckle grow on my arm from all the sun exposure. so not knowing about the baths in budapest, i made the mistake of leaving the bathing suit in milan. i will admit i'm a spa whore so the lady at my hostel said one of the baths had an all female day where bathing suits were optional. on the way, i was looking forward to a nice hot soak and massage, my back was aching from carrying my 15 kilo backpack all around europe. bu...

Beginning with the Celts in the 3rd century BC, Hungary has had a revolving door policy in effect for all invaders. The wish was that the door would hit at least some of them on the way out!   The ubiquitous Romans had done their time; roughed out the infrastructure, laid some roads, improved the baths. . . then, overspent and undermanned they went home. I guess traveling has always been a part of my life, since I took my first flight from Toronto to New York at the age of 3 months. Now it is my passion. Here are my travels done in the last 7 years, most it done in the last year and a half. Ill put up some more pictures when I get back to my apartment in Iowa City, due to the fact I have a slow internet connection here at work.

Stephen is such a great guy. We travelled together from Budapest through Romania back in my eastern europe trip of 2005 and when I realised I would have the opportunity to see him again on the way to my friend I was pretty excited and he could even host us at his friend's place.Since the last time we met Stephen had been in India, Hong Kong, Denmark, and who knows where else, a great friend and a great traveller :)Always looking forward to the next time our paths cross.

I started in Rio in November 2006, from there to British Coloumbia, Canada for 1 year. Eastern Europe Here We Are!Even though we only stayed in Bratislava Slovakia for 1 night, we really got the smaller city feel and the feel for Slovakian culture.
