Me and my friend made this trip through Europe in summer 2006.

I was in a riot a few months back. Police in riot gear. Tear gas. Tanks. Cars exploding. 5000 chanting, surging Hungarians trying to break in to a TV station. I was 15 feet from a tank firing a water cannon into the crowd while cowering behind a 5 foot monument trying to keep the camera out of the water stream. But let's back up to the cameraman. It's actually called Budapesht. Buda is the the old town up on the hills and Pesht is the new town on the flat land. They are connected by many bridges, one in particular the famous Chain Bridge. Budapest was a little disappointment for me as I think they are still a third world country even thought they are part of the Euro Union. My Birthday trip to Budapest!

I was browsing hotels in various cities and came across a fantastic hotel in Budapest, I booked it immediately and I can't wait to go there. After having booked it i had a look into Budapest itself and have seen some amazing photos of it. It looks like a really beautiful city and I can't wait to see it for myself.Places i intend to vist:Frigate bar - after reading about it in the beer group

Study Abroad program Fall of 2006 to Spring of 2007. Started in China for 5 months and then went to Europe where I traveled to 15 countries and 27 cities in 4 months. WOW.
