Casual Dining With A Forrest Gump Theme Feb 21, 2009

Looking for a casual restaurant in Bayside? Try the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Sound familiar? Think Forrest Gump! While dining at this restaurant, you will remember the movie staring Tom Hanks, and have a great meal!

In front is the famous park bench with his suitcase, box of chocolates, and tennis shoes. On each table, there are two "license plates" - Run, Forrest, Run and Stop, Forrest, Stop. When you want your server, Stop, Forrest, Stop. When the server helps you, they flip to Run, Forrest, Run!

So what to you eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp? Shrimp! Our entries were excellent. We can recommend the Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich and Popcorn Shrimp. This location has ample outdoor seating as well as indoor tables. The menu is loaded with selections, and I'm sure all equally great! Service? - Great!

This seemed to be a good location as several Miami Heat fans were coming in after the game. Great food, great service, and a good price - Eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Not knowing much about the city, we went back to Bayside to eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. After our fill of shrimp, we started off for the airport. We should have checked the Miami Heat's schedule because we were smack in the middle of traffic after a game. This slowed us up a bit, and we got a little… Cruise is Over, But Spending the Day in Miami
