Brunswick Overview

Brunswick Maine is undergoing some changes with the closure of the Brunswick Naval Air Station, which has been winding down for several years now and gradually reducing the population. However, this vintage New England village continues to thrive and is both a terrific place to visit or live.

Bowdoin College is in Brunswick and this venerated institution sets the tone - it is a delight to walk down Maine street and enjoy the numerous cafes and art shops. Brunswick also boasts significant historical claims: Harriet Beecher Stowe penned "Uncle Tom's Cabin" here, and; this is the hometown of Joshua Chamberlain.
