Brunswick Dock Dec 07, 2017
We stayed overnight in a hotel situated by Brunswick Dock. The day after we completed walking the Leeds and Liverpool Canal we walked via the dock and connecting docks to the city centre.

The dock was built by Jesse Hartley and took him five years to complete. It opened in 1832 and was primarily for importing timber and the dock has two lock entrances from the River Mersey. The dock was extended with a southern extension and linking the other city's docks. Today it is part of the Port of Liverpool and the space at the docks is used as a marina for licensed moorings.

I cannot remember ever having been there but it looks lovely. I'll bet moorings are pricey.
