My opinion of this place is split because sometimes the food can be quite nice and other times it has much to be desired. Maybe it depends on the temperament of the chef! It’s quite a nice family pub, great place to bring children because they have large tables and it is quite spacious. Also if you want to go out somewhere just for a drink it is quite peaceful. There are two sections; one is for over 18s and it’s normally where all the men gather, play pool etc, and the other section is the family section where you will find children and couples having a relaxing drink.

Like I said the food does vary, I went there yesterday and I had the Chicken New Yorker which is chicken with bacon, cheese and barbeque sauce on top. The chicken was very tough I felt like a cow munching on grass. However other times the chicken has been as tender as anything and the lasagne always seems to be gorgeous. They do a nice tomato soup as well.

Most of the staff are friendly, they are the occasional couple that have not grasped the concept of manners but they are few and far between. Like I said most of the staff are very friendly and approachable and will go out of there way to help you. The environment is very relaxed too and it does not normally get that loud.
