The Bronx Zoo first opened its gates to the public on November 8, 1899. At the time, the zoo had 22 exhibits and 843 animals. Only the outer structure of the World of Reptiles remains much as it was in 1899.
The protection and care of animals, both in the wild and at the zoo, has always been a pr…

I decided to take a day trip to Yankee Stadium, in the Bronx borough of New York City. This has been planned at the last minute, since I felt like this would be my only chance to visit "The House That Ruth Built", without having to take off time from work. I decided to get there as early as possibl…

Third game this season. I'm officially addicted!! I went to my 1st game (ever) in June of this year and liked it sooo much that I bought tickets for August.. and then again in September... Yankees beat the Blue Jays 7:5. That's the way it should be! They won all three games that I've gone to.. I think I'm good luck for them! After the game, we went to City Island for dinner! It was beautiful... Pictures of the bridge/sunset are from City Island..
Can't wait until next season!

The Bronx Zoo in New York. It wasn't the largest zoo, but enjoyable anyhow. I believe admission was in the area of $8.00, and the hours ran from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Queens, USA -› Manhattan, USA -› …
The whole purpose of my trip was to check out the Bronx! The home of the Yankees stadium. The Bronx (the area I was in) was nicer than I expected. A taxi ride from Queens to Bronx, costs $45.00, plus a $5.00 toll over the bridge. The area right off Bainbridge Rd. and ShotGun Rd. was very crowded no…
