Broad St Oxford Reviews
Must see location in Oxford Jul 13, 2012
Broad Street houses many of Oxford's important landmarks, including three colleges (Balliol, Exeter and Trinity), the Sheldonian Theatre, the Bodleian Library, and the Museum of the History of Science. The famous Blackwell's bookstore is also found here.
The ghost of one of three protestants, burnt at the stake in 1555, was seen on Broad Street in 1995 by a young girl. According to Bill Spectre's Oxford Ghost Trail, she saw a man standing in a 'ghostly pyre' with a barrel full of gunpowder around his neck. The barrel, historians claim, was given to the men to speed them on their way.
