BFI Southbank - The National Film Theatre Feb 18, 2009
The BFI Southbank Building, designed by award winning architect David Adjaye, is situated below the southern end of Waterloo Bridge It forms part of the cultural complex on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. (Near-by attractions include theatres, cinemas, studios, exhibitions and galleries). The film centre itself contains three cinemas showing both historical and contemporary unseen archive footage.

The current exhibition is material by award winning director Standley Kubrick. Please visit the BFI web site to see more on details and to view further forthcoming exhibitions.

Mediatheque (FREE)

This a series of desktop portals providing digital access to hundreds of film and television titles on demand. These moving images are currently held electronically at the BFI archive. A very good cost-free way to pass a few hours in central London.
