These are some photos from one day spent in Vancouver, British Columbia. I drove from Seattle in the morning with a rental car and then drove all the way back to SEA-TAC to catch a flight back home to Oakland.

We did do one day trip while we on the Island, which was up to Nanaimo. On the way there, we stopped in Chemainus and walked around the town. It’s a small fishing village with cute, little shops, however there’s not a lot to do, so we didn’t stay long. We did buy tickets to a play that was being staged later that night, though. Myself and a few girlfriends made the drive up to Whistler Village for a friend's birthday....and we had a blast. we make our own fun. This blog is just our silly pictures or us having fun....and man did we have ALOT of fun!!!

From Island to Island, the main method of travel is riding on the ferry. The first time riding on the ferry, we all hung out on the top, where its open and you can see the water. It was very nice, and just as we were arriving to our destination, we saw a school of dolphin swimming along with the ferry. How cool. The weather was nice, maybe 60-65 degrees, but the sun was out so it wasn't bad. In Victoria, we visited the rocky beaches, took pictures, and just spent time.

Vancouver was planned to be a day trip and now I wish we had planned a lot longer there!!  Vancouver is a beautiful city!!  We started in downtown and as far as sightseeing, drive through, but do not stop!! haha  Drive on to Stanley Park.  The leaves were changing on the trees and the park was so much fun!  Rafiq and I regressed to children and took a lot of photos posing like we were models!!  lol  We then moved to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. An all-day cruise down Alberni Inlet stopping at Fish farms, Float house communities, etc. to deliver mail and freight, pick up and drop off passergers and generally serve the transport and communication needs of west coast communities.

4th of July holiday trip to Victoria, Vancouver and Seattle. We drove up to Port Angeles and took a ferry to Victoria. From Victoria, we took a ferry to Vancouver and spent the night there. Then we left the next evening to Seattle and hiked on Mt. Rainer.

... and then I saw Vancouver and its gorgeous skyline from the plane. This would be my home for an year. I remember the first car drive from the airport to North Van, everything around me was so new and gorgeous. I couldn't blink. These three weeks were great.
